Beacon is a business intelligence database from Hanson Wade Group that helps drug developers make better, faster decisions about how to develop their projects. We specialise in proving in-depth high-quality data supported by proprietary ontologies that allow scientists to undertake comprehensive market intelligence discovery in minutes. Our team of life science experts sit at the heart of the markets we serve helping us make sure that our services respond to shifting market needs in real time.

About the role:

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Beacon Production team. You will use your incredible project management skills, technology background and commercial acumen to ensure the team delivers world-class products.

You'll take on a key role and support Producers to develop a variety of products for existing and new subscribers.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver annual budget for customer delight against agreed business milestones: deep understanding of cost and sales factors.

• Develop and maintain product success metrics.

• Be the Voice of the Customer in the product development team.

• Provide quantitative and qualitative product feedback to support development decisions.

• Predict, interpret, and respond rapidly to market challenges/changes.

• Have accountability for the validation and launch of product enhancements and new modules.

• Develop and maintain user personas, use cases, market insights and competitor intelligence.

• Support commercial teams with training and support materials.

• Manage the execution and delivery of product improvement works and product backlog: on time and to agreed budgets.

• Prepare and deliver functional briefs.

• Plan and run project meetings for the team on each module.

• Build and manage relationships across the business.

• Provide and lead training for sales, res ops and marketing.

• Be the role module for data product producers.

About you:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

• Experience managing product quality and a product lifecycle.

• Experience in liability and risk management

• Experience in project management

• Budgeting experience

• Experience managing resources.

• Experience training, hiring, and managing producers.

• Laser focus on customer delight

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills

• SaaS experience is preferred.
