Marketing Manager - SaaS

We have an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced data subscription team as a Beacon Marketing Manager. This is a temporary role for maternity cover, with the possibility of further opportunities. The role looks after the end-to-end marketing of the Beacon Antibodies & Biologics datasets, including lead generation, content/campaign strategy, content creation, product marketing and reporting. You will own the marketing plan and implement activity with your direct report – ensuring our commercial objectives are met.
About the Role
As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and measurement of strategic and tactical activities for 4 products alongside product marketing and managing and developing a direct report. You will be required to provide oversight of the marketing operations that goes into executing those activities to the marketing, sales, research operations, and product teams when and where necessary. You’ll be working with the wider Beacon team to:
Support the Director of Beacon Marketing to ensure that the marketing strategy is implemented through campaign and planning across the year to support our commercial objectives and build and nurture our sales pipeline, including automation and reporting – with a digital first approach.
- Direct line management of team members to ensure marketing operations and campaign execution run smoothly.
- Planning, developing, and producing content marketing ranging from infographics, reports, content series, anything creative and relevant, for delivery to our customers in collaboration with our sales and research teams.
- Working cross functionally with sales, research, product and Hanson Wade event teams to maximise commercial opportunities, drive brand awareness and wider business success.
- Setting and managing budgets for campaigns and allocating spend accordingly per campaign and channel.
- Working closely with the sales development representative (SDR) team and account managers to enable targeted marketing campaigns via market insight and understanding of what prospects want to know.
- Developing robust segmentation and targeting tactics tailored to the marketing campaign goals and objectives.
- Reporting on marketing influence and attribution for marketing to inform the wider business on market activity and pivots to marketing campaigns based on market trends.
- Identify and embed new marketing approaches, channels and content mediums to leverage opportunities.
- Managing external agencies and third parties for the deliverables of the marketing department.
- Scoping out resource needs and allocations towards marketing campaigns and identify gaps, issues, or bottlenecks in delivery.
- Identify additional needs for the marketing team in order to scale up and improve operations.
About you:
Required:
- Experience in a subscription, SaaS, or services marketing role
- Line management experience
- Track record of successfully running marketing campaigns and tracking ROI
- Effective time management and prioritisation of short and long-term projects
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent copywriting and proofing skills
- Able to adopt a collaborative approach with different departments
- Has a basic understanding of in-product marketing
- Data driven, digital first approach?
- Enthused about driving commercial results
Desirable:
- Has experience in the life sciences industry
- Relevant Masters Level Degree
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google Ad Manager, Chameleon, Canva, Adobe Photoshop

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 + bonus
