The Role:

We are seeking a qualified Finance Manager to join our dynamic Finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the month end close and reporting process, the ongoing development of the finance team, ensuring sound financial practices, and contributing to our overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting:

• Prepare monthly financial reports and analyses for internal and external stakeholders as part of the monthly board submissions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Month-End / Business As Usual (BAU):
• Manage and oversee the month-end accounts process, including the full production of management accounts by division to a tight timeline.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit data for all PSA/P11D submissions and handle all corporation tax queries.
• Approve payment runs
• Prepare covenant workings for timely submission.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns across multiple regions (UK, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, France, and Stockholm).
• Oversee the administration and control environment around Treasury, including bank accounts, access, and credit card users.

Cash Flow Management:

• Prepare and submit weekly cash flows to senior management.
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the organization meets its financial obligations.
• Manage working capital and oversee accounts receivable and payable processes.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure the development and implementation of financial controls and best practices.
• Drive process and system improvements through the implementation of standardized processes and procedures across the Finance Department.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Build relationships with internal departments to support operational financial needs.
• Lead the year-end external audit, overseeing the external tax and statutory preparation teams.

Project Management:

• Lead initiatives to improve processes within the Finance Department, identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement best practices in financial operations, including automation and workflow enhancements, to streamline reporting and compliance activities.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (at least 3 years PQE).
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is essential.
• Experience working in industry and leading a team through the month-end process.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
