Hanson Wade Group is a business intelligence organisation specialising in cutting edge information products focusing on niche subject areas in multiple industries, primarily the life science sector. With a range of data products and over 300 staff using Salesforce, we are constantly looking to develop our Salesforce Support Team. We're looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to join our team.
About the role:
As a Salesforce Admin, you’ll play a vital role in supporting Hanson Wade. We are looking for an individual that will be central to continually improving and enhancing the Salesforce platform for our organisation. Our Salesforce instance is at the centre of what we do; therefore, you will need to keep the wider organisation’s requirements in mind composing and deploying any changes.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of all declarative requests. You will work alongside our Salesforce Manager and another Salesforce Administrator on specifications based on stakeholder requirements, validate the proposals, and deliver the solutions.
Things you’ll be working on:
- Carry out the implementation of Salesforce activity, ensuring coordination with key stakeholders across various teams.
- Collaborating with the Salesforce Team to validate business requirements and any system considerations (security, scalability, limits)
- Best practices: Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain, and create documentation.
- Working within an Agile framework
- Create, enhance, and maintain automations using Flows.
- Being able to migrate/improve Workflow Rules and Process Builders to Flows.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, plan process changes, and fix root causes for technical business problems.
- Oversees Implementation of best practices around user account, and security of Salesforce platform
- Setup and run reports and dashboards when required by staff and management to provide relevant data.
- Manage any unscheduled and scheduled downtime that the system may have. Communicate this out globally and ensure work around processes are being communicated and followed.
- Reviewing current Apex Classes when issues are reported, especially preparing for older API version retirement.
- Responsible for the overall maintenance and administration of our Production Org, sandboxes, and backups
- Prepare for any upgrades to Salesforce to ensure compatibility with existing configurations Manage the deployment of any upgrades to Salesforce to ensure compatibility with existing configurations.
- Second-line end-user support for Salesforce and other integrated apps, fixing escalated tickets as needed based on agreed SLA.
Knowledge skills and abilities:
- 2+ years of experience within the Salesforce Platform environment as an Administrator
- A quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment, detail oriented and analytical
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- A proactive attitude to Salesforce enhancements and bringing existing configuration/code into best practices.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, plan process changes, and fix root causes for technical business problems.
- Certified Administrator and Platform App Builder with continuous learning via Trailhead
- Great knowledge of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
- Managing the platform with the ability to build custom objects, fields, workflows, process builders, flows and complex reports.
- Complete field, page layout or database values changes, the addition of validation rules and processing logic to the system
- Knowledge of Apex, to be able to troubleshoot, fix and deploy changes in the code is advantageous.
- Exposure to the setup and maintenance of Salesforce integrations
- Managed connected applications such as SalesNav, GetFeedBack and Marketing Cloud
- Knowledge of creating and analysing reports, visualizations, and Dashboards

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + Bonus
