Senior Marketing Executive - Events Marketing
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Executive to join our conference marketing team!
As a Senior Marketing Executive at HWG, you will create and deliver multichannel marketing campaigns for a full complement of events. You'll balance tried-and-tested activities with new ideas to achieve lead generation, conversion, and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages data research process with key stakeholders to target the right audience
- Delivers detailed campaign analysis to identify key levers
- Demonstrates effective email marketing, copywriting, data segmentation and use
- Leverages affiliate marketing through speakers, sponsors, media partners and associations
- Implements social media strategy and management
- Autonomy over marketing budget allocation at event level, with manager’s support
- Attends weekly project team meetings
- Delegates core tasks to the MA team
- Champions specific technical skill sets
- Demonstrates a commitment to L&D through the MA Training Programme and onboarding new starters at more junior levels
- Conveys enthusiasm to test new marketing tools within our marketing tech stack
- Upholds cross-functional process standards and effectively manages expectations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Consistently demonstrates high accuracy and quality inputs, fixes and minimises errors, and learns from feedback
- Capable of managing several campaigns at the same time, prioritises urgent tasks, knows own limitations and pre-empts delays, and sets considered deadlines for MAs
- Provides manager and project teams with required feedback
- Collaborates effectively with a variety of project teams and personality types, understands functional roles and responsibilities, and demonstrates mutual respect
- Generates alternative solutions when solving problems, proactively addresses challenges on campaigns, and asks the right questions
- Dependable, takes responsibility when things go wrong as well as right

- Assumes responsibility for solving marketing related event team problems, can make decisions based on feedback from project teams in conjunction with manager's input

- Advanced understanding of KPIs, able to use numbers to answer questions, and creates bespoke marketing strategies and executes tailored plans
- Establishes and manages own priorities across multiple campaigns, and makes decisions on marketing spend with manager

- Exemplifies our gold standard for new starters, plans and provides induction training for new MAs, and creates training resources
- Understands what tasks should be delegated to MAs and provides suitable timeframe for completion

Education & Experience:
- 2.1 or above degree in any subject
- 1-2 year’s event marketing experience
- Additional marketing qualifications and courses are optional

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 + bonus
